Question 1

The old system’s developer vanished. Can you even read it?

Accepted Answer

Usually yes — between documentation, data and watching your team use it, we reconstruct the workflow. The audit tells you honestly how deep the hole is.

Question 2

Can we keep using it while you build?

Accepted Answer

Required, in fact. You run both in parallel until the new one proves itself, then cut over on your date.

Question 3

Is our data stuck in an ancient format?

Accepted Answer

Almost nothing is unreadable. Access, FoxPro, dusty SQL dumps, even paper — the census says what is recoverable and how.
